Abstract
Changing consumption mode of residents with high carbon emission and guiding residents to implement low-carbon consumption behavior is an important path to achieve “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals” in China. This article summarized the influence factors of low carbon consumption intention and behavior from four aspects including psychological cognitive factors, external situation, irrational factors and demographic factors, analyzed the disadvantage of the existing research, and pointed out the direction of future research, which may be helpful to further research on low carbon consumption behavior. It provides reference for the formulation of policies to guide low-carbon consumption behavior of residents, so as to help achieve “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals”.
