Abstract
The view of “the world” in ancient China is based on the interactive development among family, country, world and individuals. He who excels in study can follow an official career; and a youth who is filial at home can help him to become an official. The concept of the world will be condensed into a general consensus of the society, and the nation’s self-cultivation will be practiced. The social governance under the guidance of the world for the public needs to strengthen public will, pursue social equity and equal value, restrict power and select talents to implement policies, and supervision and legal system can effectively prevent the main body from becoming evil. The idea of “the world” is more practical, inclusive and open, which provides new ideological resources for solving global problems. The idea of a community with a shared future for mankind is the modern development of the idea of the world, which provides China’s governance plan for the current global issues from a higher level.
