The Predicament, Logic and Countermeasures of Mutual Support between Teaching and Scientific Research for Teachers of Ideological and Political Courses

  • It is the general consensus of ideological and political teachers to use teaching to promote scientific research and to feed back teaching with scientific research. However, the evaluation of "emphasizing scientific research and despising teaching" inhibited the research enthusiasm and teaching investment of teachers as a whole, which is the pain point and difficulty of mutual support between teaching and research. To advocate mutual support between teaching and scientific research, it is also necessary to reflect on the relevant logical premises. Firstly, teaching and scientific research are two activities of different nature. Secondly, mutual support between teaching and scientific research is conditional and limited. Finally, scientific research supports teaching in different forms and types. There are three measures to enhance the mutual support of ideological and political teachers' teaching and scientific research. Firstly, let them have more sense of gain in teaching. Secondly, break the shackles of "only the core" of thesis evaluation. Thirdly, establish a mechanism for scientific research results to support the teaching.
