The Study of the Processing Mechanism of Individual Classifier by CSL Learners and its Teaching Method

  • Measure word is the feature of Chinese language. Individual Classifier is also a difficulty for learners. This paper, based on the theories and the recent research findings about measure words, deduced three process models. They are dual system processing, two-direction selection combined processing, and lexical processing. But all the three models have some defects. This study proposed that the acquisition of measure words is the process that we attach the features of nouns to the measure words. According to this model, this paper also suggested that we should consider the characters of different measure words in teaching.
