Legislation and International Cooperation of Kazakhstan under Renewable Energy Strategy

To deal with the growing climate problems, Kazakhstan government has promoted renewable energy development strategy actively, establishing and improving a renewable energy legal system with the Law on Supporting the Use of Renewable Energy Sources as the core. It includes other relevant domestic legislation and relevent international law, which has continuously optimized the macro-control system and policy environment in the field of renewable energy. Currently, Kazakhstan vigorously develops international cooperation in renewable energy. It not only joined International Renewable Energy Agency, but also obtained loan support from international financial institutions for some major renewable energy projects. In the process of connecting Green Silk Road and Green Bridge, China should pay attention to Institutional resources of Kazakhstan, and utilize it, deepening China- Kazakhstan Bilateral cooperation in renewable energy.
