On the Triple Logic of Marx's Criticism of Social Space

  • Marx’s critique of social space presents a triple logic of the explicit critical logic of economic operation mechanism criticism, the implicit critical logic of political power system criticism, and the specific critical logic of urban life mode criticism. In the critical logic of the explicit economic operation mechanism, Marx criticized the chaotic economic relationship caused by capitalist space production, revealed the internal economic logic of capitalist social space, analyzed the internal relationship between capital and space production, and required the establishment of reasonable Social space operation mechanism; in the critique logic of the implicit political power mechanism, Marx revealed the division of social space by political power, explained the space exploitation and suppression caused by political power, and required the realization of equal politics in socialist social space. Spatial injustice; in the critical logic of the specific urban life model, Marx revealed the urban-rural spatial opposition in capitalist society, analyzed the housing shortage of the working class, and demanded the improvement of workers’ urban life and the realization of residents’ urban rights. The triple logic of Marx's critique of social space comprehensively reveals the dilemma of space survival brought about by capitalist social space, which is conducive to China to learn the lessons of capitalist urbanization and establish a harmonious space production and urban and rural life.
