A Comparative Analysis of the Development of Service Trade between China and the United StatesBased on the Perspective of TC index and Input-output

Firstly, the paper analyzes the current situation of service trade competitiveness between China and the United States through the trade competitive advantage index (TC). Then, based on input-output evaluation model, the paper compares the disparity in the producer services between China and USA by using direct consumption coefficient, influence coefficient and sensitivity coefficient. The research shows that there are significant differences in the competitive advantages of the major service industries between China and the United States. China's producer services are primarily dependent on the secondary industry, specialized division of labor in services industry should be strengthened, financial and insurance industry can’t promote the economic development obviously, and at the same time the economy is constrained by these industries such as wholesale and retail trade, transport and storage, financial and insurance industry.
