Abstract
On Style not only has been translated into English, French, German, Russian, Japanese and other modern world popular languages, but also been translated by different scholars into the same language. These translations are based on different texts. They are re-translated based on the translation and re-translated based on the ancient texts. The ancient texts include the Greek text and the Latin text; the ancient Greek text includes the P version and the M version, and the Latin text includes the W version. It is unclear that when, where, and by whom theses versions are formed. This paper shake the leaves to find the root, watch the waves flow to trace the source, and examines the genealogy of the version of On Style, which is helpful for the study of On Style, helpful to resolve the disputes in academic history, and promotes the development of classics.
