Economic Analysis of Cross-Regional Parity of Centralized Photovoltaics in Western China

  • Developing solar power generation is the main way of clean energy transformation. Due to the contradiction between the distribution of solar energy resources and the demand of electric power load, it is a potential way to realize the remote consumption of solar energy in the western region through UHV grid. This paper calculates the generation cost by LCOE model, considers the transmission cost such as network fee, and analyzes the economy of photovoltaic power generation to achieve cross regional parity on grid. The calculation shows that by 2025, the grid access of photovoltaics in different places can be basically realized. At the same time, combined with the current situation of domestic cross-provincial power transmission, policy suggestions are put forward for the 14th Five Year Plan.
