Legal Basis of Integral Protection of Traditional Villages

With the publication of the list of the fifth batch of National Traditional Villages, the protection of traditional villages has attracted more and more attention from all walks of life. The protection of traditional villages should follow the basic principle of "overall protection". In order to strengthen the protection of traditional villages, the protection of traditional villages as a whole should be included in the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Cultural Relics. At the time of collecting public opinions on the revision of the Law on the Protection of Cultural Relics, the author suggests that relevant laws should be added to the section on "immovable cultural relics" of the Law on the Protection of Cultural Relics to specify the overall landscape of traditional villages.
