A Comparative Study of the Council System of China-Australia Public UniversitiesTake the Australian National University Council as an example

Australia's university council system has entered a relatively mature period after years of development and improvement. The article takes the council system of the Australian National University as an analysis sample. It compares, analyzes and summarizes the similarities and differences of the council system between the Chinese and Australian public universities from the aspects of the composition of the council of directors, the functions of the council of directors, and the auxiliary management institutions of the council of directors. By learning from the mature practices of the Australian public university council system, combined with China's national conditions, it proposes to improve the development of the university council system in China.
