Abstract: The rapid development of renewable energy affects employment. In recent years, research on employment effect of renewable energy development generally divides renewable energy into different lifecycle stages. Changes in investment or scale of renewables in these stages affect different scopes of the economy and create jobs directly and indirectly, and inductively cause job changes in quantity and structure. Existing literature mainly chooses jobs of investment, production capacity and output as measurement indicators, employing three methods, namely analysis method, input-output model, and macroeconomic model. The employment effects obtained by different studies vary differently due to the scope of the caliber, consideration factors, research methods and regions covered. In the future, it is necessary to improve the availability of data, diversify methods, and deepen research on employment structure.
