Abstract: The global environmental crisis has prompted countries around the world to actively explore the further development of energy and climate policies to safeguard the sustainable development of their own regions. There is a big population compared with its limited resources in Netherlands. In recent years, they have made great efforts in the development of energy and climate policies, especially in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and developing renewable energy, and have achieved internationally low-carbon results. This paper first makes an overview of the latest developments in the Netherlands energy and climate policy, the energy climate national goals and the “Energy Conservation Sustainable Growth Agreement”, the “Climate Agreement” and the “Executive Plan”, and the reduction of the Netherlands Summary of specific policy measures for the development and use of greenhouse gas emissions and renewable energy and infrastructure construction. Based on the analysis of the development characteristics of the Netherlands energy and climate policy, we will build a sound energy and climate policy system and advocate for the broad participation of diverse entities. We will pay attention to the innovative development of policy concepts and strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, and propose lessons that are conducive to the further development of China's energy and climate policies.
