Abstract:
Competition alienation is an important perspective for Marx to criticize capitalism. Marx analyzes the manifestations, roots, and social impacts of competition alienation from the perspective of production relations, thereby achieving a critique of competition alienation. In capitalist society, competition alienation has three manifestations: competition alienation within the bourgeoisie, competition alienation within the working class, and competition alienation between the bourgeoisie and the working class. Capitalist production relations stipulate that competition serves the accumulation of capital, forcing both the bourgeoisie and the working class to participate in competition, with the working class bearing the losses of competition. The intensification of competition alienation highlights the paradox of productivity development in capitalist society, leading to an even more barren social ideology and culture. To overcome the alienation of competition, it is necessary to start from clarifying the purpose of competition, establishing a competition orientation, and providing value guidance. Competition should be restored as a means to promote the all-round development of people, and the development of productivity should be taken as the competition orientation in the material production field, and a scientific view of competition should be established.
