Abstract:
The spread of network populism in the network space of college youth presents negative effects such as discretization of social consensus and destruction of social order. Based on the perspective of the actor-network theory, the division of various types of actors and the process of translation, an ‘actor network hierarchy expansion model’ of ‘core engine - main pulse empowerment - marginal resonance’ can be constructed for the network populism among college youth. This innovative model aims to elaborate the deduction mechanism of network populism dynamically and hierarchically and reveal its transmission path inspired by a small number of young internet populists, empowered by some college students and relevant departments, and ultimately resonated with specific groups. Finally, from the perspective of the generation and transformation of the actor-network, targeted guidance paths are put forward to resolve the network populism among college youth through solving the key issues, consolidating value consensus, leading the public opinion center, and forming a co-governance pattern.
