Abstract: The construction of a socialist ideology with strong cohesion and leadership has been raised to a new strategic height, and socialist values ​​​​should be the guide to build consensus and carry forward the main theme of the times. Collectivism is the core principle of socialist ideology and the basic core of socialist values. The article demonstrates the cohesion and leadership of collectivism from the five dimensions of co-construction, co-prosperity, sharing, symbiosis and win-win. Highlighting collectivism can greatly enhance the common ideological basis for people to achieve modernization. Under the guidance of Marxism, collectivism adheres to the people-centered approach and promotes the goal of people’s freedom and comprehensive development, and it breaks through the single-dimensional development logic dominated by capital and the limitations of zero-sum games. Collectivism integrates personal interests with social progress and national development, and links China with the destiny of all mankind more closely.
