Abstract: Deng Xiaoping's strategic thinking on cultural construction and development is an important part of Deng Xiaoping Theory. It is a scientific ideological system formed on the theoretical basis of adhering to and developing Marxist cultural views, Mao Zedong cultural thought, and criticizing and absorbing all cultural achievements from ancient and modern times, both at home and abroad. It is based on a preliminary exploration of the practical construction of socialist culture in China since the 1950s, and an accurate analysis of the reality of the nature and main contradictions of Chinese society since the reform and opening up.
