Abstract: The construction of a socialist ideology with strong cohesion and leadership has been raised to a new strategic height, and socialist values ​​​​should be the guide to build consensus and carry forward the main theme of the times. Collectivism is the core principle of socialist ideology and the basic core of socialist values. This article demonstrates the cohesion and leadership of collectivism from five dimensions of co-construction, co-prosperity, sharing, symbiosis and win-win. Highlighting collectivism can greatly enhance the common ideological basis for people to achieve modernization. Collectivism adheres to the people-centered approach, integrating individual interests with collective and national interests, and combining the interests of Chinese people and the common interests of the people worldwide. Collectivism promotes China's modernization by improving its theoretical innovation, value leadership, reality interpretation and communication affinity, and promotes the true harmony between people, people and society, and people and nature.
