Abstract: The popularization of higher education has an impact on the disciplinary ecological development of Universities with Industry Characteristics. From the perspective of the discipline ecological environment, industry cohesion is weakening; from the perspective of the discipline ecological structure, it presents an unbalanced three-dimensional network; in terms of ecological function, the function of the subject is gradually weakening. The unhealthy development of the discipline ecology will cause the Universities with Industry Characteristics to lose their direction in running schools, restrict their sustainable development and the improvement of their comprehensive innovation capabilities. In this regard, the inevitable choices for the reconstruction of discipline ecology would be using the principles of ecology to observe the discipline ecology of Universities with Industry Characteristics, strengthening the support system of the discipline ecological environment, giving play to the edge effects of the disciplines with advantages and characteristics, and accurately locating the discipline niche at different levels.
