Abstract: To cultivate and practice the socialist core values, college students should focus on cognition and identification, and adhere to the unity of knowledge and practice. Through the empirical research on eight different types of college students in Hebei Province, it is found that at present, the recognition of socialist core values of college students in Hebei province is generally better, but there are also some problems, such as the lack of cognitive integrity and depth, the lack of emotional identification stability, the marginal identification and utilitarian behavior, and the differences of knowledge and practice. Based on the analysis of the influencing factors, we should carry out education guidance of stratification and classification, merge effectively into the whole process of education and teaching, form the collaborative education force, and carry forward college students' socialist core values internalizing from the heart and externalizing from the behavior.
